Raytheon Successful In First Flight Test Of AIM-120C-8

AIM-120C Deliveries Began In 1996

In 1996, the United States Air Force and Raytheon began deliveries of the AIM-120C, an advanced medium-range air-to-air missile (AMRAAM). Since its introduction, the C-variant has undergone continuous upgrades, resulting in the development of the latest variant, the AIM-120C-8.

Improved Capabilities Of AIM-120C-8

The AIM-120C-8 features a number of improvements over its predecessors, including an enhanced fuze and Target Detection Device. These enhancements provide the missile with increased accuracy and effectiveness against a wider range of targets.

The AIM-120C-8 is operational on various US Air Force aircraft, including the F-15, F-16, F-22, F-35B, and F-35C. It is also integrated with the AV-8B Harrier II, F/A-18C/D/E/F/G Hornet, and F/A-18E/F Super Hornet.
